Tom Veert Contracting Ltd. began in May 1985 by current owner and operator Tom Veert.
After Graduating from Lakehead University from the Forestry Technician Program, there were not many jobs available in that sector. So Tom decided to try the heavy equipment business and bought a loader backhoe and 1967 Fargo Dump truck. Tom’s hard work ethic and belief that, “You give it your all no matter what task you are doing,” has paid off.
Here we are 33 years later, thriving and expanding. We have become the largest construction company in the area. Tom Veert Contracting Ltd. has tackled many construction projects from new Highway construction, Bridge Structures, miles of above and below ground Pipelines, large earthworks projects, Aggregate production and more!
